Sonics Pin 7-4 Loss on Grasshoppers

The San Bernardino Grasshoppers and Atlantic City Sonics were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Field of the Grasshoppers.
The Atlantic City Sonics defeated the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 7-4. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder John Clements, who was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ales Kretky got the save, the 6th for him this season.
Atlantic City grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Clements, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in doubles with 12, hit a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Sonics out in front, 3-1.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Clements said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
Atlantic City, now 17-28, holds 8th place in the Premier AA.
