Ogres Get 2-1 Win Versus San Bernardino
|
Olympia beat San Bernardino on the strength of starter Kyuso Ageda's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Ageda went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 4-3. Earning his 1st save of the year was Roberto Sáenz.
Xiao-yong Chu hit a run-scoring double off Marcus Morgan in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Ogres in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Chu had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Olympia manager Luis Díaz said.
With the win, the Ogres improved to 15-26.
