Olthof Leads BC to Win over Patriots
A 3-RBI performance from catcher Gerold Olthof led the Philadelphia 1776 BC to a 7-5 win over the Boston Patriots. Even with the win, the BC have a dismal 32-65 record.

Olthof had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 cutter from Jorge Gil, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the BC a 6-4 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Olthof.

"If it's down the middle," said Olthof, "you might as well hit it."
