Thunder Hawks Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks picked up a win at Loony Bin, knocking off the Minnesota Loons, 8-4. Starting pitcher Modeste Azagba was an essential part of his team's success. Ft. Polk South, now 21-7, holds first place in the Premier AA.
Ft. Polk South used the timely hitting of Terry Kurucz to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
Azagba told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
