Love Boats Get Close Win Over Loons
Lake Minnetonka designated hitter Steve Murdock played a vital role in his team's 5-3 triumph over Minnesota. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Lake Minnetonka. Lake Minnetonka reliever José Castro picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Adrián Porras was collared with the loss. Lake Minnetonka is 4th in the Premier AA with a record of 16-9.

Murdock had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-2 fastball from Manny Crespo, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Love Boats a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Murdock.

Murdock attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
