The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a good effort from starter Adrik Mihalushkin in defeating the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The final score was 8-0. Théo Picard finished to wrap up his 1st save. Mercer Island, now 13-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.

With two out in the top of the second, Carlos Miranda put Mercer Island in front, 2-0, with a run-scoring single. The Screaming Eagles went on to win the ballgame.

"I really like what we did out there today," Mihalushkin said after the game.
