Losing Streak Continues for River Rats with 3-1 Loss to Caterpillars
|
Tobin Basch pitched well, but his team, the Columbia River Rats, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Grand Forks Caterpillars at Columbia Stadium. De Dion-Bouton earned his 4th save in 4 tries. The win was the 13th in 16 games this season for the Caterpillars, who appear to be on course for a return trip to the playoffs.
Grand Forks right fielder Armando Ventura contributed to the cause with a triple in the top of the first. For the game, Ventura was 2-4 with a triple, while scoring 2 times.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Grand Forks manager Roku Hara.
