Thunder Hawks Clip Palladium Sox in Tight Contest
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks had to overcome a big game from Virginia shortstop Leonard Carroll to leave Thunder Hawks Ballpark with a 8-6 victory. Carroll was 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ft. Polk South reliever Ken Bates picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Doug Lane was collared with the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Palladium Sox, who are now 3-1.

Terry Kurucz, the 8th overall pick in the 2035 draft, contributed to the Ft. Polk South win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Kurucz said.
