Gene Ricks helped his team muscle past the Boston Patriots, 8-1. In the game, the Vancouver left fielder was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Xiao-shuang Wong earned the save, his 1st. Vancouver now sits at 39-47, while Boston falls to 38-48.
Tony Manzanares went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk against the Patriots. In the top of the first inning, he reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run, putting Vancouver in front, 1-0.
