BC Lose Again, 7-1, to Shredders
|
The Hollywood Shredders picked up a win at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum, knocking off the Philadelphia 1776 BC, 7-1. Starting pitcher Matthew Fallows was an essential part of his team's success. In 8.1 innings, Fallows surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The losses continue to add up for Philadelphia 1776, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
Hollywood took a 2-1 lead on Guillermo Coss's 87th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Coss hit in the top of the seventh, left Philadelphia 1776 pitcher José Cotilla shaking his head.
"I thought we played a nice game," Coss told the Hollywood Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
