Shuckers Suffer 6-2 Loss to Atoms
|
Bethesda left-hander Robert Karabanov made an effective start against the Biloxi Shuckers at Atoms Field, leading his team to a 6-2 win. The winning pitcher was Karabanov, now 5-11. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. The 'W' lifts Bethesda's record to 46-53.
Making an impact for the home team was Scipione Borghese. In the bottom of the fifth, the 24-year old second baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Atoms.
"I felt good up there," said Borghese. "I saw the ball well."
