Atoms Get Close Win Over Shuckers
The Biloxi Shuckers went down to defeat to Yeow-whye Gao and his Bethesda teammates. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Atoms. The winner was Wesley van Klaveren in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Joe Gram took the loss. Bethesda is now 45-53, Biloxi 43-55.

The Atoms were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when first baseman Conor Culver turned a 3-1 cutter from Joe Gram into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Bethesda a thrilling 3-2 win.

"We take it day by day here," said Gao, "and today was a good one for us."
