Polar Bears Take Down Atoms, 4-2
|
The Billings Polar Bears got a strong performance from pitcher Carlos Flores, who stymied the Bethesda offense en route to a 4-2 win at The Igloo. The winning pitcher was Flores, now 5-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Brandon Hughes was credited with the save for Billings, his 7th of the season.
Harold Dansey hit a run-scoring double off Sébastien Leroy in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Polar Bears in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Dansey had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We did a lot of things right," said Dansey.
The Polar Bears now have a record of 42-53 with the win over Bethesda.
