The Asheville Highlanders dealt the Billings Polar Bears a 12-3 loss at The Igloo. Frank Morris was the star on offense. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The Highlanders now have a record of 46-43 with the win over Billings.

Asheville used the bat of Dean Barthorpe to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Asheville skipper William Franklin.
