Fans who gathered at Goodyear Hanger Dome saw a good contest between the Akron Blimps and Athletic Club KC Academy.

Akron Blimps starter Ken Richmond was in fine form against the Athletic Club KC Academy at Goodyear Hanger Dome, leading his team to a 5-3 win. Richmond got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Richmond allowed 3 earned runs. Mamadou Boutin earned the save for Akron, his 18th of the year.

Aklilu Heri put Akron in front, 4-3, when he hit a 3-run home run off Ray McKendrick in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 2nd home run of the season.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Richmond said.
