A 3-RBI performance from Jim Robbins helped the Akron Blimps beat the Tacoma Fur Traders, 10-8. Akron reliever Jackson Cluff was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Ronald Wolfe. Mamadou Boutin converted his 15th save in 18 tries.

Pedro Martínez's at-bat in the top of the eighth inning was a big one for Akron. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 2nd and 3rd and Akron trailing 6-5, the left fielder hit a run-scoring single.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Martínez.

The Blimps now own a record of 47-37.
