Blimps Come Back Late to Clip Miners
|
The Akron Blimps defeated the Marquette Miners, 4-3. Earning player of the game honors was pitcher Eric Manchester, who threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The Blimps sit in second place in the Menard's AA with a record of 37-27.
Aklilu Heri had a nice at-bat for the Blimps with one out in the top of the ninth. With a runner on 2nd, the first baseman drew a walk, which would prove important in the Akron win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Heri told the Akron News.
