San Antonio BC starter Tadayuki Ito turned in an exceptional performance against the Billings Polar Bears at The Igloo, resulting in a San Antonio win, 3-2. San Antonio reliever Tuna Altuna picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. César Luna shouldered the loss. Francisco Esposo picked up the save for San Antonio, his 11th of the year.
This game went down to the wire. In the top of the ninth, Philip Todd had a big at-bat. With two out, the San Antonio left fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put his team up, 3-2.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Todd.
San Antonio is now 35-28.
