Highlanders Fall to .500 After Loss to Rawhides
|
The Belvedere Park Rawhides topped the Asheville Highlanders, 3-2, in M3L Double A action at Field of the Rawhides. The player of the game was Belvedere Park pitcher Ivano Carbonetti. Belvedere Park reliever Ivano Carbonetti was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Patrick Nicolas took the loss for Asheville. The Rawhides bumped their record to 32-20 with this latest triumph.
Mauro Jasso, who is tied for 4th in the 3AA in total bases with 93, chipped in for Belvedere Park with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Carbonetti said.
