Highlanders Clip Rails in Tight Contest
Asheville Highlanders starter Patrick Nicolas turned in a sterling performance against the Richland Rails, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Jeffery Johnston picked up the save for Asheville, his 7th of the year. Asheville bumps their record to 16-14 with the win.

Asheville took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, shortstop Francis Raffone hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Raffone told reporters after the game.
