Garland Now 7-6 After Subduing Starks
|
Port Royal used a superb performance from starting pitcher Darren Garland to down the Syracuse Starks, 2-1. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Christian Clayton. Port Royal is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Garland, the winner, is now 7-6. In 7 innings of work, he gave up no earned runs on 2 hits, while collecting 4 Ks. He essentially shut down the Syracuse offense.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Port Royal manager Harris Bailey.
