The Alloway Halberds bested the Plymouth Rocks, 4-3, at Ballpark of Alloway. Manny Gonzáles was named player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Ramón Flores, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 6 innings. John Kraan got the save, his 7th in 7 chances.
Alloway grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the sixth, when Gonzáles hit a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Halberds out in front, 4-3.
Plymouth manager John Bush said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
With the win, Alloway goes to 36-60, while the Rocks fall to 62-34.
