Tight Tilt Goes to Nationals, 1-0
|
The Belvedere Park Rawhides and Ottawa Nationals provided some drama at Nationals Park.
The Belvedere Park Rawhides got a superb performance from pitcher Craig Mack, but the Ottawa Nationals still won the game, 1-0. Mack was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings allowing 1 run. Guy Walters earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
The Nationals got a lift from first baseman Rey McSriff who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first inning off Craig Mack. It was his 18th RBI of the season and put Ottawa in front, 1-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Belvedere Park manager Glenn Draper.
Ottawa is 11th in the Menard's AA with a record of 9-14.
