Shuckers Prevail, 6-4, Over Bethesda

Fans who gathered at The Pizza Oven saw a good contest between the Biloxi Shuckers and Bethesda Atoms.
The Biloxi Shuckers faced a tough opponent in Bethesda pitcher Bradley Leeder, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Pizza Oven by a final score of 6-4. Leeder went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Ainanani Iosepa picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-0. He struck out 8 in 5 innings.
Seb Blanch had a big 2-run double for the Shuckers in the bottom of the third inning. With Biloxi leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Sébastien Leroy and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shuckers ahead, 3-0.
"We take it day by day here," said Blanch, "and today was a good one for us."
Biloxi is now 10-12, while Bethesda is 13-9.
