Highlanders Rally For Late Win Over Nationals
Fans who gathered at Nationals Park saw a good contest between the Asheville Highlanders and Ottawa Nationals.

Asheville rode a fine outing from starter Manuel Medranda to victory over the Ottawa Nationals at Nationals Park. The final score was 4-2. Reliever Vincent Hubbard picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Dong Zhào took the loss.

Asheville used the timely hitting of Ji-e Loh to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Highlanders on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Medranda.

The Highlanders saw their record improve to 11-10.
