Blimps Come Back Late to Clip Fur Traders
Fans who came to Ballpark of Tacoma watched the Akron Blimps and the Tacoma Fur Traders fight to the finish.

The Akron Blimps relied on the hitting of right fielder Derek Healey to stop the Tacoma Fur Traders, 4-3. For the game, Healey went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. Akron reliever John Bennett picked up the win to move to 1-0. Josip Primorac suffered the loss. Mamadou Boutin earned his 4th save in 4 tries.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Healey delivered big-time for Akron, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Josip Primorac. The game-changing hit put the Blimps on top, 4-3.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Healey said.

The Blimps sit in 8th place in the Menard's AA with a record of 10-11.
