The Tortolita Drummers did just enough to sneak past the Alloway Halberds, 7-6, at Ballpark of Alloway. Tortolita designated hitter Jin-yong Myung earned player of the game honors. Reliever Valentyn Hochmiller picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Joe Martarano took the loss. Getting the save was Briggs Bourgeois, his 9th.

Tortolita used the bat of Ken Moore to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Drummers ahead, 7-6. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"This team is real focused right now," said Tortolita manager Wilson Alvarado.

The second-place Drummers have won 5 straight.
