Sarcoma Hits 2 home runs in Halberds Win
|
The Alloway Halberds thumped the Port Royal Disaster, 9-1, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Broderick Sarcoma was a big reason his team got the win. Sarcoma hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Alloway reliever Geoff Stackhouse got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Christian Clayton was tagged with the loss. The Halberds now have a record of 35-55 with the win over Port Royal.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Sarcoma delivered big-time for Alloway, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Christian Clayton. The game-changing hit put the Halberds on top, 2-1.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Sarcoma. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
