Studdard goes 3-for-3, Rails Move to 10-3
|
It was a fun time at Rails Ballpark, where the San Antonio BC and Richland Rails tangled.
Richland second baseman Antoine Studdard was instrumental in his team's 7-3 win over the San Antonio BC. Studdard, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2037 draft, went 3-3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rails. Zhong-yi Huang was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 1 hit, with 5 walks and 9 strikeouts.
Richland third baseman Fontana Contaldo contributed to the cause with a double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Contaldo went 1-5 with a double.
Contaldo called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The BC drop to 6-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2039 season.
