The Billings Polar Bears bested the Tacoma Fur Traders, 5-2, at The Igloo. Norbert Ingalsbe was named player of the game. He went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Billings has a mark of 7-5 after the win.
Had Roberto Guerrero not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Guerrero hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Polar Bears.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ingalsbe told the Billings Daily News.
