Ricks Helps Grey Wolves Beat 84s
|
It was a fun time at Wolf Den in Vancouver, where the Greenville 84s and Vancouver Grey Wolves tangled.
The Vancouver Grey Wolves beat the Greenville 84s, 7-4, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Gene Ricks, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win moves Vancouver to a record of 4-3.
Had Michael Malloy not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Malloy hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Grey Wolves.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Malloy.
