Halberds Knock Off Fog at Fog Park

The Alloway Halberds beat the Sunset District Fog, 5-3, at Fog Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Broderick Sarcoma, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Carlos Simon picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-11. He struck out 8 in 5.2 innings. Alloway now sits in 9th place in the Silver AAA at 32-53.
In the first inning, Sarcoma had a 2-run double for Alloway. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Halberds on top, 3-0.
"I felt good up there," said Sarcoma. "I saw the ball well."
