Poole Excels, But Rocks Win
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Despite a great performance by Phoenix catcher Bill Poole, the Plymouth Rocks defeated the Hotspur Reserves by the score of 14-7 at Thunderbirds Stadium. Poole belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. At 55-30, the Rocks have a slim two-game lead in the Silver AAA.

The result might have been different for Plymouth, had it not been for António Avery. The shortstop produced a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rocks ahead, 5-4. For the game, Avery had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We got the victory," said Avery. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
