Drummers Roll to 8-2 Win Over Disaster
|
The Tortolita Drummers topped the Port Royal Disaster, 8-2, with designated hitter Jin-yong Myung playing a big role. Myung went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Drummers in the win. The winner was Jerry Hamm in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Phil Soto took the loss. Tortolita is now 51-32, Port Royal 45-38.
Tortolita relied on the bat of Tso-i Wang to get the win. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Drummers ahead, 2-0. For the game, Wang had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Wang said.
