1837 BBC Get Close Win Over Knights
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Daniel McCoy, the Kingston Township Knights suffered a 6-4 loss to the Houston 1837 BBC. McCoy went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Timoteo Sassetti in relief. His record improves to 1-4. Chase Sims took the loss. Jeffery Meyers got the save, his 13th in 17 chances.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Scott Dourque came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Kingston Township pitcher Dale Snider, he hit a 2-2 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Houston on top, 5-4.

"It was a solid team effort," said Dourque after the game.

The 1837 BBC bumped their record to 58-48 with this latest triumph.
