Browns Hang 12-6 Loss on Dodgers
|
Cleveland right fielder Sadatake Abe was instrumental in his team's 12-6 win over the Brooklyn Dodgers. Abe, who is tied for 5th in the 3L in runs scored with 64, went 2-4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Browns. Cleveland reliever Lawrence Lane picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. John Núñes shouldered the loss. Cleveland is in 5th place in the Third League with a record of 53-48.
Jhett Larson's at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning was a big one for Cleveland. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Cleveland trailing 5-3, the second baseman hit a run-scoring single.
"Feels good to get the job done," Abe said after the game.
