Patriots Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Portland pitcher Natalino Golaio gave the Patriots all they could handle, but in the end, Boston left Dunkin Donuts Park with a 4-3 win. Golaio allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 6.1 innings. Boston reliever Firpo Marberry picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Anaías Pedroza took the loss. The Patriots raised their record to 29-39.
Bobby Butterfield had the critical at-bat for Boston. With one out in the bottom of the 13th inning, he hit a sacrifice fly. It gave Boston the 4-3 walk-off win.
"This place was rockin'," Butterfield said.
