Martínez goes 3-for-4 to Power Stingers Offense
The Toledo Stingers knocked off the Houston 1837 BBC, 6-5, at Pacesetter Park. Alfredo Martínez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Toledo won. The right fielder was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Toledo reliever Ron Manning was credited with the win, to go to 4-3. Alfredo Córdova took the loss for Houston. The Stingers' win now puts them at 42-54.

Martínez had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fifth, when he hit a 2-run triple. The Stingers went on to win.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Martínez told the Toledo Chronicle.
