Lakers Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
Echo Park right-hander Jordan Calhoun made an effective start against the Cleveland Browns at Factory of Sadness, leading his team to a 8-2 win. In 5.1 innings, Calhoun surrendered no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Echo Park has now won 5 straight.
Echo Park needed the clutch hitting of Komotay Koffie to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Lakers on top, 3-0. For the game, Koffie had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun.
