The Toledo Stingers got a good effort from starter Ángel Silva in defeating the Cleveland Browns at Factory of Sadness. The final score was 4-1. The winning pitcher was Silva, now 3-8. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Marcos Oquendo, credited with the save, is now 2 for 3 in save opportunities.
Theron Montecalvo hit a run-scoring triple off Ryunosuke Kurota in the top of the sixth, which put the Stingers in front, 2-1. Montecalvo had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Toledo manager TJ Reynolds. "It's usually not just one thing."
