Northern Virginia Makes It 6 Straight with 4-3 Win
The Rainbow Mermaids faced a stiff challenge from Las Vegas pitcher Enrique Valle, but persevered to claim a win at Atlantica. The final score was 4-3. Valle went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Reliever Yoriyoshi Sugimoto picked up the win. His record improves to 5-0. Ieyoshi Asai took the loss. The losses continue to mount for Las Vegas, which has now dropped 11 in a row.

Rylen Roersma took Ieyoshi Asai deep in the bottom of the ninth. His 3-run home run put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 4-3. In all, Roersma had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Roersma.
