The Cleveland Browns got a superb performance from pitcher Jessie Young. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Toledo. The Stingers won the game, 3-1. In spite of the loss, Young was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Austin Aries was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 17 save opportunities. Toledo is now 34-45, Cleveland 40-39.
Alfredo Martínez, the Toledo right fielder, contributed a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 2-0, Stingers. For the game, Martínez went 2-4 with a triple.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Martínez.
