1837 BBC Get One-Run Win at Echo Park
|
Houston beat Echo Park at LA Forum, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Bill Dixon, who earned player of the game honors. Houston reliever Alexis Zambaco got the win, raising his record to 9-3. Jeffery Prosser was tagged with the loss. Houston's record now stands at 43-34, placing them 4th in the Third League.
Dixon turned the game around in the top of the seventh. That's when the Houston third baseman dialed up a 2-run home run. Just like that, Houston's 3-2 deficit turned into a 4-3 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Houston manager Tyler Johnson. "It's usually not just one thing."
