The Kingston Township Knights dealt the Montana Pandas a 8-7 loss at Cloverdale Legion Park. Takenao Wakabayashi was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Kingston Township reliever Kevin Pilkington was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was José Lucero. John Riggleman got the save, the 10th for him this season.

The Knights used some clutch hitting to beat the Pandas, a good example being the at-bat of Glenn Curtis in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, Curtis gave his team the lead, 5-4, when he hit a run-scoring single.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Montana manager Andrew Schupick. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."

The Knights improve their record to 32-37 with the win over Montana.
