Panama City right-hander Masahiro Sakei pitched his team to victory over the Houston 1837 BBC at Houston Grounds. The final score was 5-3. Joe Khokar recorded his 12th save for Panama City. Panama City is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Panama City used the bat of Craig Tricket to capture the win. The third baseman jacked a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Piranhas ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Masahiro's tempo and rhythm were good," said Piranhas manager Brian Talamante. "He was the key to us winning."
