Piranhas Raise Rally Flag, Beat Seattle, 4-3
|
The Panama City Piranhas scored a 4-3 win versus the Seattle Rocketeers at The Tank. Panama City pitcher Masahiro Sakei nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Panama City reliever Tobías Pérez picked up the win to move to 2-3. Suhaila Zainuddin suffered the loss. The Piranhas now own a record of 26-36.
Had Bruno Williams not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Williams hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Piranhas.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Williams told the Panama City Today.
