Ford goes 3-for-5 in Knights Win
|
The Kingston Township Knights defeated the D.C. Divided, 8-5, at Washington Stadium today. Leading the charge for Kingston Township was catcher Holden Ford. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The Knights, at 26-31, sit in 10th place in the Third League.
Ford contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Kingston Township in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Ford took a forkball from Victor Heuvelink and stroked the home run to right. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Knights to leap in front, 4-2.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Ford.
