Rocketeers Top Pandas in Extras
|
The Seattle Rocketeers beat the Montana Pandas, 6-5 at Panda Park, in part due to first baseman Charles Geudre, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Seattle reliever Dragutin Petrovic was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Roberto Silva took the loss. The Rocketeers bumped their record to 32-23 with this latest triumph.
Seattle took a 6-5 lead on Bastiaan Pieterse's 48th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Pieterse hit in the top of the 11th, left Montana pitcher Jiong Bao shaking his head.
In postgame comments, Pieterse said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
