Dodgers Win in 13
|
Brooklyn got an elite performance from starting pitcher Hermenegildo Beliago in taking a 2-1 decision over the Panama City Piranhas. The Dodgers move to 28-26 with the win, while the Piranhas drop to 22-32.
Brooklyn took a 2-1 lead on Tony Wonder's 66th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Wonder hit in the bottom of the 13th, left Panama City pitcher Kgosi Gowon visibly frustrated.
Wonder told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
