Browns Fall to .500 After Loss to Dodgers
|
Brooklyn and Cleveland met at Factory of Sadness in front of a lively crowd.
The Brooklyn Dodgers got a strong performance from pitcher Holden Rosen Grupp, who stymied the Cleveland offense en route to a 5-1 win at Factory of Sadness. The winning pitcher was Grupp, now 5-1. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Harrison Tuff closed the door for Brooklyn, picking up his 3rd save of the year.
The outcome might have been different for Brooklyn, had it not been for Steve Pugh, the 26-year old catcher . Pugh stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Brooklyn up, 2-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Pugh said after the game.
Brooklyn currently is in 5th place in the Third League at 22-20.
